Special Event on Tuesday March 10th

Everything is set. From 7 to 9pm on Tuesday, March 10th, all are invited to the opening of Remembering Lincoln, a temporary exhibit of Lincoln memorabilia at the Port Tobacco Courthouse Museum. Most of the objects in the exhibit are on loan from Heidelberg University in Ohio. Admission to this special event is free and light refreshments will be served. A brochure with directions and additional information on the exhibit is available in the downloads of restoreporttobacco.org.

Planning Ahead for March 2009

Mark your calendars because March 2009 is shaping up to be an exciting time at Port Tobacco.

A team of archaeology students from Heidelberg College's Center for Historic and Military Archaeology will be joining the Port Tobacco Archaeological Project for a week long field session at Port Tobacco.

The college students will be brining an exhibit of Abraham Lincoln memorabilia, on loan from Heidelberg's Beeghly Library, with them to install in the Port Tobacco courthouse museum. An exhibit opening will be held on a Tuesday evening and the museum will be open for extended hours during that week.

Details will be posted as they become available.
